EOSS Assessment
Edmonton Obesity Staging System - Stratify obesity-related health impairments
About EOSS
The Edmonton Obesity Staging System (EOSS) classifies obesity into 5 stages (0-4) based on metabolic risk factors, physical symptoms, and psychological health. Unlike BMI alone, EOSS predicts mortality risk and guides treatment allocation. Stages 0-1 are not associated with increased mortality, while stages 2-4 require increasingly intensive intervention. The overall stage equals the highest domain score.
Domain Assessment
Select the stage that best describes the patient's current status in each domain. The overall EOSS stage will be the highest stage across all domains.
